I spent a lot of time experimenting in the kitchen this weekend and discover air fryer desserts. I had a bunch of apples to use and I’d been craving apple crisp. So I decided to figure out how I could make it in the air fryer! After some research on how to even make desserts in the air fryer, I came up with this warm, cinnamon apple crisp! It’s a lighter version of apple crisp that still has amazing flavor and texture.

🍎 Air fryer apple crisp
What you need:
𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐱𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞:
2 chopped apples (any kind)
1 tsp of cinnamon
1 tsp of lemon juice
1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
𝐓𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠:
2 1/2 tablespoons of almond flour
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
1/2 t cinnamon
1 pinch of salt
4 tablespoons of old fashioned oats
2 tablespoons of cold butter
What you do:
- Preheat airfryer to 350 degrees.
- Create a foil bowl that fits in your air fryer, but is about 1 inch smaller than the size of your air fryer. This will allow the air to circulate.
- Peel, core, and chop the apples into small cubes. Combine the apples with the lemon juice, sugar, and cinnamon. Pour into the foil dish.
- Cover the dish with the aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil cover and bake for 5 more minutes.
- For the topping, combine the flour, sugar, cinnamon, salt, oats, and cold butter until crumbly. It’s easiest to use an electric mixer for this step. Sprinkle evenly over the apple mixture.
- Cook uncovered for 5 more minutes in the air fryer.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream!
